Through investigation and intelligence gathering, the ward police determined that the suspect was likely hiding in the former Vinh City area and some neighboring areas. In the early morning of December 15, 2025, implementing a comprehensive set of operational measures, the ward police arrested Duong Duc Cong while he was hiding in a guesthouse in Block 8, Thanh Vinh Ward.
Currently, the ward police are finalizing the case file and handing over the suspect to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police for processing according to the law.
