Nghe An: Suspect arrested for drug trafficking, 15,000 synthetic drug pills and one gun seized.
Nguyen Tien Dung has three previous convictions for theft and illegal possession and transportation of narcotics. Dung was recently arrested while buying and selling drugs in Cua Lo ward.
The Drug Crime Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police, in coordination with the Anti-Drug Task Force No. 2 - Coast Guard Command, the Cua Lo Ward Police, and the Administrative Police Department for Social Order, caught Nguyen Tien Dung (born in 1990, residing in Son Tay commune, Ha Tinh province) red-handed for illegally buying and selling narcotics.
Previously, through intelligence gathering, the authorities discovereddrug trafficking ringThe goods were transported from Ha Tinh province through Nghe An and then distributed to other areas for consumption, led by Nguyen Tien Dung. Based on this, the relevant units reported to the competent authorities to establish a special case to combat and dismantle the operation.
When the time was right, the Special Investigation Team decided to crack the case. At the time of the arrest, law enforcement seized 15,000 synthetic drug pills, 4,585 grams of methamphetamine, and one handgun. During the arrest, the suspect resisted but was safely subdued.
According to records, Nguyen Tien Dung has one prior conviction for theft and two prior convictions related to the illegal possession and transportation of narcotics.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and expanded by the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Nghe An Provincial Police in accordance with the law.
