Thanh Chuong Police: Arrested a group of young men stealing dogs
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 22, information from Thanh Chuong District Police said that they had initiated a case and temporarily detained Nguyen Cong Viet (born in 1988), Le Xuan Thang (born in 1989), Nguyen Van Tho (born in 1990) and Thai Huu Loi (born in 1995), all residing in Xuan Thanh Commune (Yen Thanh District) to investigate the act of "theft of property".

When the police arrested Nguyen Cong Viet, the other three suspects abandoned their motorbikes and quickly fled the scene.
Evidence seized at the scene included 3 fishing rods, 3 dogs, 2 motorbikes and a sword. Based on Viet's testimony, Thanh Chuong District Police arrested Thang, Tho and Loi.
Initially, at the investigation agency, this group confessed that Viet was the leader of a dog theft gang in the districts of Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, Anh Son... and brought them to Yen Thanh to sell for money to spend.
From August 2014 to now, this group has successfully carried out 7 cases, stealing dozens of dogs. The investigation agency also clarified that Nguyen Cong Viet had a previous conviction for robbery and had just completed his prison term at the end of 2013, and Le Xuan Thang had a previous conviction for theft.
