Thanh Hoa Police continue to announce the location of the Church of God
On April 28, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police continued to announce an inspection of the activities of a group of people claiming to be members of the "Church of God" (also known as "Mother God") in the mountainous district of Ngoc Lac.
Specifically, in the mountainous district of Ngoc Lac, the number of people participating in the church includes the elderly, students, workers, and freelance workers (mainly women, people in difficult circumstances, without stable jobs, etc.).
Although not yet permitted by competent authorities to operate, this group still secretly conducts illegal religious propaganda activities. Thereby, it entices and attracts many people to participate, causing unpredictable consequences.
Many families have broken up, like the case of Ms. Nguyen Thi H. (50 years old), in Kien Tho commune, Ngoc Lac district, who, since joining the "Church of God", abandoned her family, did not care about her husband, children, relatives, and blindly followed groups that propagated illegal religions.
Recently, Ngoc Lac district police discovered 8 people organizing activities of "The Church of God" on the 2nd floor of Ngoc Lac bus station, including: Nguyen Van Tinh (born in 1993), in Ba Vi district, Hanoi; Pham Mai Phuong (born in 1991), in Kien An, Hai Phong; Nguyen Xuan Kien (born in 1977), Ha Thi Thu (born in 1961), Truong Thi Ngoc Thue (born in 1995), Le Van Anh (born in 1993), all in Ngoc Lac district; Ho Thi Nga (born in 1995), in Quynh Luu, Nghe An; Le Thi Phuc (born in 1960), in Tho Phu commune,Trieu Son district
According to Lieutenant Colonel Trieu Van Binh - Deputy Head of Ngoc Lac District Police, the police force had discovered the behavior of these subjects since the beginning of 2018 and had organized forces to remind them and ask them to write a commitment not to repeat illegal religious activities.
However, these subjects still secretly enticed and attracted followers and organized illegal activities, forcing the police to draw up records and confiscate evidence.and proposed that the authorities expel the relevant subjects from the locality.
