Reporting on the work results in 2021, Colonel Nguyen Duc Hai - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Department said that during the year, the Provincial Police Department proactively and actively advised the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee on many directive documents right from the beginning of the term to ensure timeliness, comprehensiveness, closeness, and correctness of the situation, mobilizing the strength of the political system in ensuring security and order.

The provincial police have proactively and synchronously deployed drastic measures and solutions to firmly protect national security, preventing sudden and unexpected incidents. Absolutely protect delegations of Party and State leaders, visitors, working guests and major political and social events in the area.

At the same time, we will fight resolutely and effectively against all types of crimes and social evils, preventing organized crimes operating in a "mafia" style. Crimes against social order will decrease by 11%, the investigation and discovery rate will reach 89.6%, of which very serious and especially serious cases will reach 100%.

State management of public order and safety has been strengthened. There are many solutions to reduce traffic accidents in all three criteria. Administrative reform continues to be strongly directed. 2021 is the 6th year that the Ministry of Public Security has ranked first in the administrative reform index among the entire People's Public Security force.

The provincial police have also synchronously and drastically deployed measures to contribute to preventing the Covid-19 epidemic. The movement to protect national security; Party building, force building, logistics, technology, and foreign affairs have achieved many outstanding results.

DON'T BE PASSIVE OR SURPRISED IN ANY SITUATION

Speaking at the Conference, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang - Deputy Minister of Public Security assessed that in 2021, despite being affected by factors, especially the Covid-19 pandemic, Nghe An Provincial Police actively and quickly changed their status, demonstrating their core and frontline role in the movement to ensure security and order, prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, and overcome floods, storms, and natural disasters.

The provincial police were not passive or surprised in situations; social order and safety had clear changes, the fight against crime achieved high results; traffic accidents and administrative reform continued to be effectively promoted. For the 7th year, Nghe An Provincial Police was awarded the Flag of Excellent Unit in the emulation movement in 2021 by the Prime Minister. On behalf of the Ministry of Public Security, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang acknowledged, highly appreciated and congratulated the results achieved by officers and soldiers of Nghe An Police in 2021.

Considering that in 2022, the complicated factors of the security and order situation still have many potentials, with new tricks, while Nghe An is a strategic and important area, the Deputy Minister of Public Security requested the Provincial Police to promptly identify the opportunities, challenges and difficulties that are arising, to proactively advise the Party committees and authorities at all levels to deploy plans and plans to respond, prevent, contain and promptly and effectively handle complicated situations that may occur, right from the beginning, right from the grassroots.

Regarding the 2022 work tasks, Senior Lieutenant General Luong Tam Quang requested Nghe An Provincial Police to seriously and effectively implement the directions of the Central Government and the Ministry of Public Security. Regarding security and order, it is absolutely necessary not to be passive or surprised in any situation, not to be subjective or negligent in the face of traditional and non-traditional crimes, considering this an important and regular task, because currently, the situation in the world and the region is very complicated.

Regarding the fight against crime, the Deputy Minister of Public Security requested the Provincial Police to do a good job of preventing and eliminating the conditions that give rise to crime right from the grassroots. There must be substantial solutions to prevent and fight against criminal offenses; creating a clear change in Party building, building an increasingly strong, disciplined, clean and modern force.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee summarized the outstanding results of the province's socio-economic situation in 2021 and emphasized the important contributions of the Provincial Police. The provincial leaders congratulated, commended, highly appreciated and thanked the results and achievements that the Provincial Police achieved in 2021, making important contributions to the province's socio-economic development.

Emphasizing that the province's socio-economic development target in 2022 is high, in the context of many challenges and difficulties, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Police to pay attention to 5 contents.

Accordingly, it is recommended that the Provincial Police continue to advise the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, and Provincial People's Committee to effectively implement the directives and guidance documents of the Central Government and the Ministry of Public Security; coordinate well with all levels and sectors to ensure security and order, handle arising issues; proactively grasp and promptly handle related issues, ensuring security and defense in the province.

The provincial police also need to continue to implement measures and resolutely fight against all types of crimes, especially before, during and after Tet, to ensure security and social order and safety for people to have a safe and cozy Tet holiday.

The head of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the Provincial Police to continue to play a core role in the movement of the entire people to protect national security, perform well the mass mobilization work, support the Party Committee and the government in performing the task of socio-economic development. Continue to promote the vanguard spirit in the task together with the forces to change the status of Covid-19 prevention and control with the spirit of "Safely and flexibly adapting, effectively controlling the Covid-19 epidemic".

On this occasion, Nghe An province also thanked the attention of the Central Public Security Party Committee and the leadership of the Ministry of Public Security in the past time and hoped to continue to receive attention, support and create conditions for Nghe An province and the Provincial Public Security to carry out and excellently complete the tasks in 2022 and the coming time.

On this occasion, 13 groups and individuals of the Provincial Police were awarded Medals of various ranks by the President; 719 groups and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister, the Minister of Public Security, and the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Nghe An Provincial Police was awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag by the Prime Minister for the 7th consecutive time in 2021.
