(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 28, Nghe An Provincial Police held a meeting and awarded Team 373 of the Provincial Police. Attending the ceremony were Colonel Bui Quang Thanh - Director of the Provincial Police, Deputy Directors of the Provincial Police, and leaders of professional departments.
With the viewpoint of "stay awake so people can sleep, stay on guard so people can have fun", for the peaceful and happy life of the people, to strengthen the protection of the Lunar New Year 2024, the Provincial Police Director decided to organize the deployment of a peak of 30 days and nights of armed patrols by Task Force 373, starting from January 22, 2024 (December 12 of the lunar calendar, year of Quy Mao) to February 22, 2024 (January 13 of the lunar calendar, year of Giap Thin). Of which, 6 Task Force 373 of the Provincial Police were established; the Police of districts and towns established at least 2 Task Force 373; Vinh City Police alone established at least 3 Task Force 373.
After 1 week of peak implementation, the Provincial Police 373 Teams organized more than 720 officers and soldiers to participate in the task. Checked more than 2,000 vehicles participating in traffic. Results: Penalized 18 cases of alcohol concentration violations; 4 cases of violations of no helmet, no driving license... administrative fines totaling more than 100 million VND; Through patrol work, discovered and arrested 5 cases, 5 subjects for illegal possession of drugs; coordinated to arrest 1 subject for online gambling.
With the initial achievements, at the ceremony, Colonel Bui Quang Thanh - Director of the Provincial Police Department awarded 6 Teams 373 of the Provincial Police Department.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Bui Quang Thanh - Director of the Provincial Police Department commended the initial results of Team 373 of the Provincial Police Department in armed patrols, crime prevention and control on key routes and areas, thereby creating a highlight and an important premise in building the "brand" and "power" of the Armed Patrol Team of Nghe An Provincial Police.
