Provincial police visited and presented gifts to the wife of martyr journalist Le Van Luyen
(Baonghean.vn) - In a series of gratitude activities towards the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2017), on the afternoon of July 7, the Youth Union of Nghe An Provincial Police visited and presented gifts to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - wife of martyr journalist Le Van Luyen (Hamlet 10, Nghi Trung Commune, Nghi Loc, Nghe An).
In 1972, journalist Le Van Luyen sacrificed his life, leaving behind Nguyen Thi Thuy (born in 1934) with three young children, including Le Van Thai, who was infected with Agent Orange. Overcoming difficulties, Ms. Thuy faithfully worshiped her husband, led the family, and raised three children. In her old age, Ms. Thuy had to fight a terrible cancer, making her already difficult life even more difficult.
