Vinh City Police commended typical examples "For the security of the Fatherland"

(Baonghean.vn) - On April 18, Vinh City Police organized a ceremony to commend typical advanced models in the emulation movement "For National Security, 2010 - 2015 period".

With the slogan "City police officers and soldiers are united, disciplined, responsible and effective", over the past 5 years, Vinh City Police has launched 25 emulation campaigns throughout the unit. City police officers and soldiers have well implemented Resolution 08 of the Politburo on national security strategy, and have done well in the fight against crime and drug prevention in the new situation.

In 5 years, Vinh City Police have investigated and clarified 1,596 criminal cases, arrested 2,176 subjects, eliminated 229 gangs, confiscated 44 guns, 20 kg of explosives, 671 motorbikes. Struggling to eradicate 17 drug lines, 4 large drug dens and 347 drug retail points. Arrested 1,311 cases, 1,487 drug criminals, confiscated 14,612 grams of heroin, crystal meth, synthetic drugs and marijuana. Arrested 392 cases, 466 economic criminals. Detected and handled 1,500 cases, 4,638 gambling subjects.

In the movement of the entire people to protect the security of the Fatherland, the City Police has effectively maintained 23 models of ensuring security and order in wards and communes. For 5 consecutive years, the City Police has been awarded the emulation flag by the Ministry of Public Security for leading the movement for the security of the Fatherland. Many collectives and individuals have been awarded Certificates of Merit by the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial People's Committee.

On this occasion, the City Police commended and rewarded 6 collectives and 15 outstanding individuals in the emulation movement to protect national security in the 2010-2015 period.
