After receiving the citizen's report, Thanh Chuong District Police summoned Ms. Tran Thi Oanh to work. At the police station, Ms. Oanh stated that she was bankrupt and unable to pay.
Regarding the 8 billion VND that Ms. Oanh raised from players, she said she used it to treat her son's illness and to go to temples and pagodas to do charity work.
According to initial information from Thanh Chuong District Police, the hui ring organized by Ms. Tran Thi Oanh has been operating for many years in the area and is very reputable. After attracting many participants, Ms. Oanh organized many "fake" hui rings with high interest rates.
Usually, the participants in a chain of guilds do not know each other and only pay money to Mrs. Oanh. Because of the high interest, many people who take turns to draw the guild only receive the interest, cut the tail but do not take the principal back but continue to leave it in the guild.
The form and method of playing, the way of raising money as well as the method of paying interest of Ms. Oanh are being verified and clarified by the district police. Initially, it can be seen that Ms. Oanh took the money of the players to pay interest to them, so when the hui was declared bankrupt, the people realized that they had lost a large amount of money.

"Currently, the district police are focusing on verifying and clarifying. If there are signs of fraud or property appropriation, we will transfer the case file to the provincial police for investigation and handling according to their authority," said the leader of Thanh Chuong district police.
As previously reported by Nghe An Newspaper, hundreds of people in Thanh My Commune and neighboring communes have been confused by the news that the hui led by Ms. Tran Thi Oanh has gone bankrupt. When Ms. Oanh declared bankruptcy, hundreds of people came to her house to pressure her to pay back the money.
According to the residents, Ms. Oanh often pays high interest, showing that she is quite fair. Many residents, after their turn to pick up the ward, do not take it back but continue to leave it for the ward owner, only receiving the interest. To have money to join the ward and get high interest, many residents do not hesitate to bring all their savings, even mortgage their land books to get money to pay the ward./.
