The police force invited Mr. Tran Van Ro (the husband who poured boiling water into his wife's ear because she often nagged) to come to work to clarify the cause.

Regarding the incident in which a wife was burned by her husband by pouring boiling water into her ears and neck, requiring emergency hospitalization, Colonel Le Hoang Tien, Chief of Cai Be District Police (Tien Giang), said that Tan Hung Commune Police had invited Mr. Ro (54 years old) to come to work.

According to Colonel Tien, the administrative or criminal handling of the above incident will be handled and continued by the district police investigation team.

According to Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hong Le (currently hospitalized at Cai Be District General Hospital), on the night of August 20, Mr. Tran Van Ro (54 years old, Mrs. Le’s husband) came home from drinking and slept on a pile of sand in front of a neighbor’s house. Seeing this, the locals took Mr. Ro home.

In the early morning of August 21, Mr. Ro suddenly woke up, cursed at his wife, and assaulted her. When neighbors came to stop him, he used a kettle of boiling water to threaten and intimidate her.

Panicked, the neighbors went outside and Mr. Ro beat Mrs. Le to the ground, grabbed her hair with one hand, and poured boiling water into her ears and on her head, neck and back with the other.

In pain, Mrs. Le cried for help. Mr. Ro left his wife as if nothing had happened. The victim was quickly taken to the emergency room.

Ms. Le was hospitalized with severe boiling water burns to her head, neck, and back. The most serious burn was to her left ear, which was caused by boiling water being poured directly onto it.

Working with the police, Mr. Ro initially confessed that he had beaten his wife due to an argument. His wife used chopsticks and a piece of wood to hit her back. Angry, Mr. Ro took a pot of boiling water and threw it at her.

The case is being further investigated by the police.
