The wanted suspect, Truong Van Vien (born in 1972), residing in Tam Hop commune, Nghe An province, was arrested immediately upon re-entering Vietnam after 15 years of hiding abroad.
Based on intelligence gathered, the Tam Hop Commune Police determined that Truong Van Vien would be re-entering Vietnam. He is a wanted fugitive according to Warrant No. 01 of 2011 issued by the Criminal Investigation Agency of Quy Hop District Police (formerly) for the crime of "Gamble"
After committing the crime, Truong Van Vien fled abroad, changed his place of residence, and cut off contact with his family to evade capture by authorities.

Over the years, despite the suspect's constant movement and attempts to conceal his whereabouts, the Tam Hop Commune Police have consistently monitored, updated information, and closely managed the list of wanted individuals related to the area.
Recognizing this as a crucial moment to apprehend the suspect, the Tam Hop Commune Police established a task force that traveled directly to Cao Bang province, coordinating closely with the Soc Giang Border Gate Border Guard Station in Truong Ha commune, Cao Bang province, to review and verify immigration information. Simultaneously, they implemented operational measures to ensure the arrest was carried out legally and with absolute safety for the participating forces and the public.
On the morning of December 14, 2025, as Truong Van Vien was completing immigration procedures to enter Vietnam, the task force quickly apprehended and successfully arrested him. After completing the initial paperwork, the Tam Hop Commune Police handed Truong Van Vien over to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Nghe An Provincial Police for further investigation and processing according to regulations.
