The commune police, together with teachers, traveled to each village and hamlet, and went to people's homes to meet and encourage children to return to school after the long Lunar New Year holiday.

After Lunar New Year,student absenteeismstill often occurs in schools in mountainous districts of Nghe An. At Luong Minh Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities (PTDTBT) (Tuong Duong district), there are 525 students. However, after Tet holiday, 50 students, mainly in grades 4 and 5, were absent from school. Through investigation, it is known that due to difficult family circumstances, many children have the idea of ​​dropping out of school to stay home to help their parents, while parents do not pay much attention to their children's education.

Faced with this situation, the Luong Minh Commune Police along with teachers of the school crossed mountains, waded through streams, entered each village, visited the students' and their families' homes to celebrate Tet, grasped their aspirations, and encouraged them to return to school on time. Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Van Hung - Head of Luong Minh Commune Police said that in Cham Puong village, there were 5 students who were absent from school. This village is located 17 km from the commune center, the road to the village is very difficult. The people are mainly Kho Mu ethnic group, whose lives are still difficult. After a campaign, 5 students who were at risk of dropping out of school returned to class.

With the perseverance and responsibility of the Commune Police and teachers, the awareness of parents and students in the mountainous areas has changed.
