Local police officers went to the village to encourage students to return to school after Tet.

After the Lunar New Year,student absenteeismThis is a common occurrence in schools in the mountainous districts of Nghe An province. At Luong Minh Ethnic Boarding Primary School (Tuong Duong district), there are a total of 525 students. However, after the Tet holiday, 50 students, mainly from grades 4 and 5, were absent from school. Investigations revealed that due to difficult family circumstances, many students considered dropping out to help their parents at home, while their parents lacked attention to their education.

Faced with this situation, the Luong Minh commune police, along with the school's teachers, braved mountain passes and streams to reach each village and hamlet, visiting students and their families to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year) and understand their thoughts and aspirations, encouraging them to return to school on schedule. Lieutenant Nguyen Van Hung, Head of the Luong Minh Commune Police, stated that in Cham Puong village, five students were absent from school. This village is located 17 km from the commune center, and the road to the village is very difficult. The villagers are mainly Khmu ethnic people, and their lives are still very challenging. After a day of persuasion, the five students at risk of dropping out returned to class.

Thanks to the perseverance and responsibility of the commune's police force and teachers, the perceptions of parents and students in the mountainous region have changed. To date, 50 students from Luong Minh Ethnic Boarding Primary School have returned to school to continue their journey of learning.
