President Truong Tan Sang attended and awarded the title of High Quality Vietnamese Goods to typical enterprises.

On the evening of February 23, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises held a ceremony to announce 500 enterprises that achieved the title of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods in 2016 as voted by consumers.

These are 500 enterprises with enough votes from consumers, transparent in business operations and good compliance with regulations and laws. To achieve this result, the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises directly recorded the opinions of 20,000 consumers, traders, and retailers in 16 provinces and cities with high consumption of goods. The list of winning enterprises has also been sent to the provincial and municipal authorities for timely response.

Mr. Do Huu Dung, Director of External Relations, Bao Toan Surveillance Equipment Company, the first enterprise to receive this title, said: “Once voted by consumers, how can we maintain their trust? We think that is extremely important and we must definitely do it, ensuring that the quality always goes up and the price is competitive so that consumers can confidently choose our products.”

The High Quality Vietnamese Goods Program started in 1996. After 20 years, the program has grown stronger and provided practical support to Vietnamese businesses. This title has contributed significantly to building the brand of many prestigious and valuable businesses at home and abroad, enhancing the competitiveness of businesses.

From less than 100 enterprises in the first poll, over 20 years, thousands of enterprises have officially achieved this title, of which 42 enterprises have achieved it for 20 consecutive years. Mr. Trinh Chi Cuong, General Director of Dai Dong Tien Joint Stock Company, one of 42 enterprises that have maintained the title of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods for the past 20 years, said: “We always improve our quality. We always maintain, improve and develop to create prestige for the brand. Being a High-Quality Vietnamese Goods for 20 consecutive years is a great honor and reward for Dai Dong Tien.”

Over the past 20 years, 45 provinces and cities have had businesses voted, of which businesses in the Southeast region have achieved the highest percentage with 58%. Notably, not only stopping at organizing the voting, but each year and each period, the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises has had specific, suitable projects to provide information and support business operations. Ms. Vu Kim Hanh, Chairwoman of the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises said: “After 20 years, looking back, we see that we have closely followed the needs of businesses and have established 4 milestones in the development of Vietnamese businesses. That is, building a brand, building a distribution system, supporting integration into ASEAN countries and innovation.”

From that reality, in 2016, the Association will continue to carry out market promotion activities, in addition to activities such as supporting creative integration, cooperation programs with provinces and cities in the Mekong Delta, promoting the intelligence of the team of experts with quality research from macro to brand building, distribution systems to integration support... to prepare for fierce competition when Vietnam integrates deeply into the world economy./.
