North Korean state media recently released a video as evidence that a male citizen of the country was paid by the US and South Korea to assassinate leader Kim Jong-un.

The video details how a carefully planned assassination attempt on Kim Jong-un was carried out in April. The video was released after North Korean state media reported multiple times in early May about the assassination attempt on the country's leader.

Accordingly, Kim Song Il - a male citizen of this country is said to have received money from US and South Korean intelligence agencies to assassinate Mr. Kim Jong Un with "biochemical poison".

According to the Uriminzokkiri website, which is affiliated with the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Kim Song Il provided detailed information about the individuals he cooperated with.

"The first plan was to hide a microscopic poison in an air conditioner and activate it with a voice command at a critical moment," Kim Song Il said. "The second plan was to inject polonium poison into Kim Jong-un's body."

However, after South Korea's November 2016 directive, Kim said the plan to assassinate leader Kim Jong-un shifted to "planting poison in the seat of the supreme leader." Kim also said he was asked to collect and submit as much information as possible about the environment around the area where events are often held, the guard situation, and the material of the chair or table that Kim Jong-un often uses.

Kim confessed: "They asked me to come up with a terrorist plan using biochemical toxins and gave me $10,000, a Doogee smartphone and a satellite transmitter."

Kim then said that in January 2016, a man named Han attempted to set up an overseas communications center in Dandong, where Kim planned to receive about $100,000 from South Korean agents as well as the necessary items to carry out the assassination.
