Announcement of Ford EcoSport 2016 price

Ford has just officially announced the price of the EcoSport small SUV with a starting price of 14,245 pounds.

The first new Ford EcoSports will soon be available to UK customers with prices starting from £14,245 and three engine options including the 1.0L Ecoboost, 1.5L and 1.5L TDCi diesel engines.

In terms of appearance, the improved EcoSport version is the removal of the spare tire at the back. This makes the car look neater, and also moves the rear door hinges up, making it easier to load luggage. The current EcoSport has a horizontal opening rear door. If desired, customers can still choose to mount the spare tire outside the car.

In addition, notable points on the improved EcoSport are the Deep Impact Blue exterior color, 17-inch "custom" wheels, black roof and black mirror caps, privacy glass and rear diffuser.

Meanwhile, in the interior, Ford made minor changes, including a chrome-plated instrument cluster, a dimmer feature, and chrome on the window knobs. Sound-deadening materials were also added to the doors and dashboard.

In terms of equipment, the American car company introduced the Winter Pack, which includes a heated windshield, heated side mirrors and heated front seats. The EcoSport will also use a satellite navigation system and a rearview camera.

The handling of the compact SUV is also taken care of by Ford when it comes to customizing the suspension system. Despite being an SUV, the EcoSport is now 10mm lower to improve handling. The electronic stability control system and electronic power steering are also optimized by Ford.
