Announcing the awards at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

After 12 days (from May 12-24) in France, the organizers of the 2015 Cannes Film Festival have selected the most outstanding candidates to award prizes.

The film "Dheepan," which depicts the plight of refugees arriving in France, won the prestigious Palme d'Or at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

The Best Director award went to Taiwanese director Hou Hsiao-Hsien for his martial arts action film "The Assassin".

Vincent Lindon, the French actor, won the Best Actor award for his role as a job seeker in the film "The Measure of a Man".

In the Best Actress category, the jury decided to honor two actresses: Rooney Mara for her role in the American film “Carol” and Emmanuelle Bercot for her role in “Mon Roi.”

Awards at the Film Festival:

Palme d'Or: Dheepan - directed by Jacques Audiard

Grand Prize: Son of Saul - directed by Laszlo Nemes.

Best Director: Hou Hsiao-Hsien - The Assassin.

Best Actor: Vincent Lindon - The Measure Of A Man.

Jury Prize: The Lobster – directed by Yorgos Lanthimos.

Best Actress: Rooney Mara - Carol and Emmanuelle Bercot - Mon Roi.

Best Screenplay: Michel Franco - Chronic.

Honorary Award: Agnès Varda.

Camera d'Or Award: La Tierra Y La Sombra - directed by César Augusto Acevdeo.

Palme d'Or for Best Short Film: Waves 98 - directed by Ely Dagher.
