(Baonghean.vn)- On October 24, at the closing session of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), President Xi Jinping was elected to the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Mr. Xi Jinping, 64 years old, is a member of the Standing Committee of the Politburo of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

Also at the closing session of the 19th Congress, Premier Li Keqiang and a number of other Party members were elected to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.

According to a resolution adopted at the congress, the Party included promoting the development of the Belt and Road Initiative in the revised Party Constitution. The 19th Congress unanimously agreed to include in the Party Constitution “to adhere to the principle of achieving common growth through discussion and cooperation, and to pursue the Belt and Road Initiative.”

The revised Party Charter also stipulates that the Party must “make all-out efforts” to ensure that “the fight against corruption continues.”

Meanwhile, according to the resolution reported by the 18th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), the Communist Party of China will strive towards the goal of fundamentally improving the Party's political system./.
