Announcing survey results on questions raised at the Provincial People's Council meeting
(Baonghean.vn) - The year-end session of the 17th Provincial People's Council raised questions on three groups of topical issues, causing much public outrage. Nghe An Newspaper conducted a survey to poll readers' opinions on solutions and directions for these hot issues.
The three groups of issues raised at the Provincial People's Council meeting include: Implementation of the VNEN model and socialization of education; social insurance arrears and health insurance fund deficit; planning, licensing and construction management. These are issues related to current events such as: parents sending petitions protesting the implementation of the new VNEN school model, the situation of overcharging by schools under the name of socialization, or most recently, the fatal collapse of a construction tower crane that exposed a series of violations in construction licensing.
The survey was conducted from 3:00 p.m. on December 14 when the Provincial People's Council session entered the group discussion session. By 5:30 p.m. on December 15, after 3 question-and-answer sessions on the above groups of issues had ended, Nghe An Newspaper summarized the results of the reader survey with the following results:

Readers' opinions tend to support the option of socializing education, but there must be reasonable regulations, depending on each region. |
Many enthusiastic readers sent their comments and reflected on the shortcomings in practice. For example, regarding the implementation of the VNEN model, some opinions did not oppose it but suggested that it should only be implemented in schools and localities that meet the conditions for educational quality, and that thorough training should be provided before implementation.
With the overspending of the health insurance fund, many opinions request transparency in posting prices for medical examination and treatment services and inspection and request for reimbursement of incorrect payments.
Regarding the socialization of education, although 75.12% of readers participating in the survey agreed with the proposal of a collection level depending on the conditions of each region, there were also many opinions expressing the desire to return to the previous method of collecting construction fees to ensure fairness in the educational environment.
At the question and answer session on the afternoon of December 15, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council concluded: Temporarily stop the replication of the VNEN model in Nghe An. This decision coincides with the wishes of the majority of readers participating in the survey.
