The logo of artist Nguyen Van Than was chosen as the official symbol of the campaign 'Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese products'.

As part of a group of support programs aimed at positively changing the community's awareness and actions, under the list of the Domestic Market Development Project associated with the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", on November 27, the Central Steering Committee of the Campaign chaired and, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, organized the introduction of the official logo of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".

With the desire for the Campaign to create a change from awareness to action for Vietnamese consumers and to strengthen propaganda and raise the level of the Campaign, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has coordinated with the Vietnam Fine Arts Association to organize the Contest "Creating a symbol (logo) for the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".

The Organizing Committee of the contest selected and announced 7 winning works in 2016 from 125 entries. After 1 year of public announcement to collect comments, the Steering Committee chose logo model number 1, entry code 33/3 by author and artist Nguyen Van Than (Hanoi) as the official symbol of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods".

At the official logo introduction ceremony, Mr. Luong Xuan Doan, Vice President of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association, said, "The logo has a tight, recognizable layout that evokes the image of Dong Ho paintings, bearing the identity of the Vietnamese people, so it meets the strict requirements of the organizing committee. This is a work worthy of long-term use for the Campaign, encouraging Vietnamese entrepreneurs and businesses to constantly strive to conquer domestic consumers."

According to Mr. Tran Duy Dong, Director of the Domestic Market Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), choosing a symbol for the Campaign is a meaningful activity, creating traditional values, contributing to building a consistent image identity, improving communication and promotion effectiveness on media and bringing the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" closer to the majority of people.

Appreciating the official symbol of the Campaign "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Anh, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Deputy Head of the Central Steering Committee of the Campaign, requested ministries, branches and localities across the country to officially use the Campaign symbol in related activities.

“The official logo of the campaign not only has artistic value but also great political significance. With the vivid visual image and logo introduced today, it will be the most effective form of propaganda about the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods”. Through the logo, all people will know, businesses will know and also understand the meaning of the campaign”, Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Anh affirmed./.
