Announcement of the resolution on the establishment of communes and towns of the National Assembly Standing Committee in Nam Dan district

This is a step to implement Resolution 831 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in Nghe An province. Accordingly, Trung Phuc Cuong commune was established on the basis of merging 3 communes: Nam Trung, Nam Phuc, Nam Cuong. After merging, the new commune has a total natural area of ​​20.46 km²and population size of 14,100 people.

At the same time, the new Thuong Tan Loc commune merged the entire area and population of 2 communes: Nam Loc, Nam Tan and 4.10 km²natural area, 1,200 people in Nam Thuong commune. The new commune has a total natural area of ​​31.20 km², population 11,300 people.

Nam Dan town also merged an additional 3.20 km²natural area, 700 people of Nam Thuong commune and the entire natural area and population of Van Dien commune. After the merger, Nam Dan town has a total natural area of ​​18.70 km2², population 20,600 people.

Along with the announcement of the decision to establish new communes and towns, Nam Dan also announced the decision on the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the People's Council; Chairman and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee, and the establishment of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and organizations and unions.

At the ceremony, Nam Dan district leaders requested communes and towns to stabilize the situation soon, continue to develop plans to rearrange civil servants, better serve the people; at the same time, actively prepare to organize the upcoming Party congresses at all levels.

Thus, after the arrangement, Nam Dan district has 19 commune-level administrative units, including 18 communes and 1 town.
