On September 25, in an interview with Europe 1 from New York, USA, where he is attending the annual session of the United Nations General Assembly, President Macron stressed that France cannot accept everyone if it wants to give a warm welcome to all those who come to France. He pointed out that since the 2017 presidential election, France has recorded a significant increase in the number of asylum seekers.

According to President Macron, in order to receive all migrants reasonably, France should not be an overly attractive country. Regarding issues that need to be resolved soon in the coming time, the leader said the government will prioritize granting asylum to those who meet the conditions, support them to quickly integrate into the community, and at the same time repatriate illegal immigrants.
