Duc Hau Pagoda, also known as Thien Linh Tu, is located in Duc Hau village, now the three hamlets of Xuan Hoa, Xuan Dong, Xuan Duc in Nghi Duc commune, Vinh city. The pagoda was built in the 12th century, and is a place for spiritual activities of the people in the area. Over time and historical changes, Duc Hau Pagoda has deteriorated and cannot meet the needs of Buddhist activities.

Recently, based on the request of the Executive Committee of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Nghe An province, Nghi Duc Commune People's Committee, Vinh City People's Committee, Nghe An Province Monuments and Landscapes Management Board and the Religious Affairs Committee - Department of Home Affairs, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee issued Decision No. 1746/QD-UBND accepting the restoration of Duc Hau Pagoda, Nghi Duc Commune; requesting Duc Hau Pagoda to properly carry out Buddhist activities on the basis of the Law and Charter of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha...

During the ceremony, a representative of the Nghe An Provincial Religious Committee announced the decision to accept the restoration of the Buddhist facility. A representative of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee of Nghe An Province also announced the decision of the Nghe An Provincial Buddhist Sangha to appoint Venerable Thich Dinh Tue - currently the abbot of Phuc Thanh Pagoda in Hung Chau Commune, Hung Nguyen District, to officially preside over Duc Hau Pagoda in Nghi Duc Commune, Vinh City.

Also at the ceremony, the Buddhist Sangha of Nghe An province and the attending delegates conducted a spiritual groundbreaking ceremony to start the construction of Duc Hau Pagoda./.
