Announcement of the decision to approve the Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health

At the ceremony, Mr. Son Minh Thang - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies presented the decision of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies approving Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Son Minh Thang expressed his belief that with his steadfast political will, revolutionary ethics, dedication to work and extensive practical experience in the locality, in his new position, Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen will continue to promote his spirit of solidarity, capacity, intelligence and experience to join the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health in leading and directing cadres and party members in the Party Committee of the Ministry to excellently complete the assigned political tasks.

Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen respectfully thanks the Party Committee of the Ministry and the Party Executive Committee for entrusting him with the important responsibility and promises to make every effort to promote the spirit of solidarity, build a clean and strong Party Committee, and take the lead in successfully completing assigned tasks.

Previously, on December 9, 2019, the Prime Minister signed Decision 1771 to transfer and appoint Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen to the position of Deputy Minister of Health.

The Ministry of Health currently has 4 Deputy Ministers: Mr. Nguyen Thanh Long (Permanent Deputy Minister), Mr. Truong Quoc Cuong, Mr. Nguyen Truong Son and Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen.

In October 2019, the Politburo assigned Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam to concurrently hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Health and to be in charge of the entire Ministry of Health until now.

Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen was born in 1966, graduated from the Military Medical Academy and held the following positions: Deputy Director and then Director of Hung Yen City Medical Center, Vice Chairman and then Chairman of Hung Yen City People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Head of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee's Organization Department.

In June 2016, he was elected by the Party Executive Committee of Hung Yen province as Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, then elected by the Provincial People's Council to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council for the 2016-2021 term.
