On the morning of July 28th, the Provincial Federation of Labor Unions held a conference to commend outstanding trade union officials who have achieved many accomplishments in negotiating, signing, and implementing collective labor agreements, and also announced the Decision to establish commune and ward trade unions.

Attending the program were: Ms. Thai Thi An Chung – Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Delegation of the National Assembly of Nghe An Province; Mr. Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An Province, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor; representatives of provincial political and social organizations; leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor and its affiliated units; representatives of enterprises, and 50 outstanding grassroots trade union officials in the area.

In his opening remarks at the conference, Comrade Kha Van Tam, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An Province, and Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor, emphasized the significance of honoring outstanding grassroots trade union officials on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union. He affirmed that the negotiation, signing, and implementation of collective labor agreements are clear evidence of the trade union's role in representing and protecting the rights of workers, especially in the context of organizational restructuring and deep integration.
The Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor acknowledged the efforts, courage, and dedication of grassroots trade union officials – the "soldiers" on the front lines for workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations in enterprises. They are a source of pride and a vivid embodiment of the spirit of the Vietnam Trade Union in the new era. The conference was an opportunity to honor 50 outstanding trade union officials, while also disseminating high-quality collective labor agreements and replicating effective models.
Sharing his thoughts on the decision to establish 23 commune and ward trade unions, Comrade Kha Van Tam affirmed that this event marks a significant shift for the provincial trade union organization in restructuring according to a new model. He expressed hope that, based on these specific examples, trade unions at all levels will continue to promote a proactive and creative spirit, contributing to building harmonious labor relations, developing businesses, and fostering long-term employee loyalty.
The conference awarded the "For the Cause of Building the Trade Union Organization" commemorative medal from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to a number of trade union officials and leaders of departments and agencies in Nghe An province for their significant contributions to the workers' and employees' movement in the province.

The Provincial Labor Union also awarded Certificates of Commendation to 50 outstanding union officials who have achieved remarkable results in representing, negotiating, and signing collective labor agreements at enterprises - including many FDI enterprises and units that have proactively and effectively prevented the risks of strikes and labor disputes.
The conference heard presentations from representatives of several grassroots trade unions such as Sangwoo Co., Ltd., Kyungshin Co., Ltd., Haivina Kim Lien Co., Ltd., etc., on negotiating, signing, and implementing collective labor agreements, bringing greater benefits to workers than stipulated by law.
The conference announced the Decision to establish commune and ward trade unions. This is an important step in the process of restructuring and streamlining the trade union organization in accordance with Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Politburo.
Accordingly, after the closure of 20 district-level Labor Federations, 4 industry-specific trade unions, and grassroots trade unions under agencies receiving 100% of the budget, 23 commune and ward trade unions were officially established, contributing to the streamlining of the trade union organizational system towards greater efficiency and closer connection with the grassroots.
Chairpersons of commune and ward trade unions have received the Decision on establishment, the Decision on appointment of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee, and their respective positions.Commune Trade Union, ward.
