Announcement of the VICEM inspection decision.

On the morning of July 2, 2014, the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Construction officially announced the Decision to inspect the Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (VICEM) and its member companies.

VICEM's leadership affirmed that the inspection was also an opportunity for business leaders to fully and accurately assess their business operations, thereby correcting and rectifying any violations (if any). Public opinion will no longer harbor doubts about irregularities once the inspection conclusions are announced… VICEM thanked the Minister and the inspection team and promised to seriously implement the Decision in accordance with the law.

According to the Decision, the Inspection Team is tasked with verifying the content of media reports regarding the management and operation of production and business activities of the Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (VICEM) and its member companies; identifying existing obstacles in mechanisms, policies, and laws to recommend adjustments to competent authorities; clearly identifying the causes and responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals for any violations (if any); reporting to the Chief Inspector; and submitting the report to the Minister of Construction for handling according to regulations.
