Announcing the establishment of Nghe An Environmental Protection Fund
(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, October 11, in Vinh city, the Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to announce the Decision to establish Nghe An Environmental Protection Fund and the Fund Management Board.
Attending the event were comrade Thai Van Hang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors; a number of districts and enterprises.

Nghe An Environmental Protection Fund was established under Decision No. 43, dated September 13, 2011 of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee. Nghe An Environmental Protection Fund is a State financial organization under the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, under the State financial management of the Department of Finance, is the focal agency receiving financial resources from the State budget, collecting environmental protection fees and sources of administrative sanctions for environmental protection violations from sponsoring organizations and individuals. This is also the place to deposit environmental restoration deposits in mineral exploitation in the province.
Financial resources from the Environmental Protection Fund are supported to serve programs and projects to overcome pollution, degradation and environmental incidents as well as other environmental protection activities in the province through the form of sponsorship, loan support with preferential interest rates, or loan interest support, loan guarantees from other credit institutions according to the provisions of law.
Along with the establishment of Nghe An Environmental Protection Fund, the Provincial People's Committee also issued Decision No. 1648/QD-UBND, dated May 15, 2012 on the establishment of the Provincial Environmental Protection Fund Management Board consisting of 5 members. Comrade Thai Van Hang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee holds the position of Chairman of the Nghe An Environmental Protection Fund Management Board.
