Announcement of the establishment of the Nghe An Environmental Protection Fund.
(Baonghean.vn) -This morning, October 11th, in Vinh City, the Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to announce the Decision to establish the Nghe An Environmental Protection Fund and its Management Board.
Attending the event were Comrade Thai Van Hang - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives from provincial departments and agencies; and representatives from several districts and businesses.
Comrade Thai Van Hang delivered a speech at the ceremony announcing the decision.

The Nghe An Environmental Protection Fund was established by Decision No. 43, dated September 13, 2011, of the People's Committee of Nghe An province. The Nghe An Environmental Protection Fund is a state-owned financial organization under the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, subject to the state financial management of the Department of Finance. It serves as the focal point for receiving financial resources from the state budget, collecting environmental protection fees, and receiving funds from administrative fines for environmental violations from sponsoring organizations and individuals. It also serves as the deposit location for environmental restoration funds from mineral exploitation within the province.
Financial resources from the Environmental Protection Fund are used to support programs and projects aimed at addressing pollution, degradation, and environmental incidents, as well as other environmental protection activities in the province, through grants, preferential interest rate loans, or interest rate subsidies and loan guarantees from other credit institutions as prescribed by law.
Along with the establishment of the Nghe An Environmental Protection Fund, the Provincial People's Committee also issued Decision No. 1648/QD-UBND, dated May 15, 2012, on the establishment of the Provincial Environmental Protection Fund Management Council, consisting of 5 members. Mr. Thai Van Hang – Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee – holds the position of Chairman of the Nghe An Environmental Protection Fund Management Council.
