System Scan Utilitycomputer to detect vulnerable devices of Vnist. |
Meanwhile, the application of Vietnam Information Security and Communications Technology Joint Stock Company (Vnist) supports security testing for large network systems with dozens and hundreds of computers.
According to Mr. Tran Quang Chien, Director of Vnist, to limit becoming a victim of WannaCry, users' computers should be updated with the MS17-010 patch that Microsoft released on March 14, 2017 (KB4012598). This is the vulnerability that the malware uses to spread from one computer to another in network systems.
To prevent the WannaCry malware from infiltrating or spreading, Securitybox security experts recommend that users immediately update Windows operating system patches. In addition, it is necessary to temporarily block the SMB service on the computer, install or update anti-virus software.
