Vietnam Education Trade Union presents gifts to support non-public teachers affected by Covid-19

(Baonghean.vn) - This is the industry's sharing with teachers and workers in the Nghe An education sector affected by the Covid-19 epidemic.

On the afternoon of April 29, the Vietnam Education Trade Union came to present gifts to support teachers of non-public schools in the province due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Dr. Vu Minh Duc - Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union acknowledged the efforts of the Nghe An education sector in recent times, especially in both epidemic prevention and teaching despite having to switch from in-person teaching to online teaching.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union also shared the difficulties of the education sector, especially with the team of teachers and workers working in non-public schools and the team of caregivers in kindergartens and primary schools.

With affection and responsibility, in recent times, the Vietnam Education Trade Union has also mobilized the participation of schools, units and businesses to support teachers in difficulty.

On this occasion, the Trade Union visited and supported 3 provinces: Nghe An, Ha Tinh and Thanh Hoa. In particular, Nghe An delegation presented gifts to 15 teachers of the following schools: Nguyen Trai High School, Nguyen Hue High School (Vinh City) and Dinh Bat Tuy High School (Hung Nguyen) and 1 ton of rice to other teachers in the province.

Although the gift is not large, the Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union hopes to contribute a small part to encourage and help teachers to complete well the work assigned by society.

Director of the Department of Education and Training Thai Van Thanh also expressed his gratitude to the Vietnam Education Trade Union and believed that in the coming time, with the participation of the entire industry, there will be more help for teachers to overcome this difficult period.

Currently, according to the latest survey of Nghe An Education Trade Union, due to the impact of Covid-19 epidemic, the whole industry has 8,971 teachers, staff and workers affected and have not received salaries since February. Of which, there are 3,605 staff, teachers and workers in non-public schools and 5,366 people are teachers in kindergartens, primary schools and labor contracts in public kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools.
