In recent times, the Covid-19 epidemic has greatly affected the lives of people in Vinh City in general and the lives of workers in particular. Right from the early stages of the epidemic, Nghe An Trade Unions at all levels have simultaneously implemented many creative and practical programs, suitable to the role of the organization, contributing to the prevention and control of the epidemic and minimizing the impact of the epidemic. In implementing activities, Nghe An Trade Unions at all levels have sought out many good, creative and effective ways of doing things. In addition to the unit's funding sources, district and industry trade unions have mobilized many other funding sources to optimize support for frontline forces against the epidemic. Although epidemic prevention and control activities have been promptly implemented in all aspects, in the face of unprecedented developments in history, there are still many difficulties. In many units applying "3 on-site", businesses and workers are still confused; Many F0, F1 are families of workers in difficult circumstances, having to go for treatment and quarantine while having no income; Many workers in boarding houses and blockaded areas need support with necessities; More than 7,000 workers with contracts returning from the South have not yet found jobs, greatly affecting social security issues in the whole province...

To thoroughly overcome all the above problems, implementing the Emulation Plan of the General Confederation of Labor, Nghe An Labor Union is determined to carry out activities to support the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic in a more drastic, synchronous and effective manner. From this goal, Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation has launched the emulation movement "Workers, civil servants, and laborers strive to overcome difficulties, be creative, and determined to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic".

FOR PEACEFUL FORTRESPASSES

In the recent online conference to evaluate the results of the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 pandemic, the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor launched the emulation movement "Workers, civil servants, and laborers strive to overcome difficulties, be creative, and determined to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic" throughout the system. With the highest determination, Nghe An trade unions at all levels have registered to compete to realize the theme "Each grassroots trade union is a fortress, a peaceful home - Each cadre, union member, and employee is a soldier". Accordingly, the spirit of "Fighting the epidemic like fighting the enemy", effectively implementing the "dual goal" is deployed by Nghe An Trade Union with specific targets:

100% of district and sectoral trade unions have propaganda activities, sharing good practices, good examples, good deeds in participating in the prevention and control of Covid-19; timely support for frontline units against the epidemic, workers whose jobs and incomes are affected by the Covid-19 epidemic; have at least one activity such as:“Zero-dong supermarket”, “Zero-dong market”, “Zero-dong boarding house”, “Free rice ATM”, “Union affection”, “Kitchen affection”, “Bike of affection”…

Each grassroots trade union participates in at least part of the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic, such as supporting employees affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, supporting quarantine areas, and frontline units against the epidemic; Each union member has at least one practical job to participate in and support the prevention and fight against the Covid-19 epidemic; voluntarily implements and mobilizes, persuades colleagues and family members to strictly comply with epidemic prevention and control measures; Participates in blood donation; 100% of full-time trade union officials are closely following the grassroots, focusing on the grassroots, proposing timely solutions and recommendations to support units and businesses greatly affected by the impact of the epidemic...

The Provincial Federation of Labor has issued a document guiding specific contents for 3 groups of subjects: Nghe An Trade Union levels with the topic“Each grassroots union is a fortress, a peaceful home”;Workers, civil servants, laborers with the theme"Each cadre, union member, and employee is a soldier"; Full-time union officials promote the mettle of each union official in difficult and challenging times with a spirit of“All for union members and workers”.

Sharing about this emulation movement, comrade Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor suggested that trade unions at all levels, especially leaders, need to innovate their thinking, be proactive and creative, organize many meaningful activities, suitable to the epidemic conditions; grasp fully the regimes and policies for workers to take better care of them, promptly and properly; proactively monitor the implementation of regimes and policies on support for Covid-19 prevention and control; promote communication tools to promptly propagate images of trade union activities to workers.
