Nghe An Trade Union makes breakthrough with patriotic emulation movement

The imprints and influence of the emulation movement

Clearly identifying that emulation is not just about slogans but must be concrete actions, over the past 5 years, Nghe An Trade Unions at all levels have proactively innovated implementation methods, creating new vitality for traditional movements. The movements are flexibly concretized, aiming to solve urgent problems of units and enterprises.

Accordingly, the Provincial Labor Federation has deployed a diverse system of movements, closely following the political tasks and lives of workers, civil servants and laborers such as: "Good workers, Creative workers", "Studying to improve educational and professional qualifications to meet the requirements of integration and development"; "For the poor, no one is left behind"; "Cadres, civil servants and public employees of Nghe An province compete to practice office culture"; "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses"... These movements have made an important contribution to building a strong political system throughout the province, ensuring the maintenance and development of production in difficult conditions, and helping the Provincial Labor Union successfully complete the emulation criteria set out in the period 2020 - 2025.

If solidarity is the foundation, then "Good workers, creative workers" is the brightest highlight in the emulation movements in the period of 2020 - 2025. This emulation movement has brought 92,018 initiatives and scientific research topics at all levels applied to production and work, bringing hundreds of billions of VND in benefits to agencies, units and enterprises; the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Certificate of Creative Labor to 147 comrades. This is where the intelligence, experience and dedication of the team of workers, civil servants and laborers are promoted, bringing great economic and social benefits. The value of the movement lies not only in the quantity but also in the quality of each initiative and technical improvement solution.

A typical example is Mr. Cao Minh Hoa - Technical Director of TH Milk Joint Stock Company with the initiative "Automatic milk carton loading robot system". This is a solution applying modern automation technology, liberating manual labor, improving accuracy and speed of product packaging. This initiative has been recognized with a direct benefit value of up to more than 11 billion VND for the enterprise. Or the group of authors Nguyen Thanh Tinh and Hoang Gia Thanh, Nhat Huy Stone Processing Joint Stock Company (Dien Chau commune), have researched and successfully implemented the initiative "Solution to improve QUARTZ SLAB production efficiency". Thereby, optimizing the artificial stone production process, improving product quality and minimizing waste. The benefit value of this solution after only 5 months is an impressive number, demonstrating the immediate effectiveness of applying the initiative to production practices. Or like worker Hoa Van Tan, Minh Anh - Kim Lien Company has 157 big and small initiatives, bringing in billions of dong in profit...

In addition, in the emulation movement of the whole country joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, in the period of 2020-2025, on average each year the Provincial Labor Confederation has supported the construction and repair of 34-40 Trade Union Shelters. In 5 years, it has supported the construction and repair of 189 "Trade Union Shelters" for union members in difficult circumstances with a total amount of over 8 billion VND. In the period of 2020 - 2024, 56,123 female workers, civil servants and laborers in Nghe An were honored as "Good at public work, good at housework". Of which, 30 women were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, 250 women were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Provincial Labor Confederation...

During the entire term, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded 25 Emulation Flags, 151 Collective Certificates of Merit, 790 Individual Certificates of Merit; 4 Nguyen Duc Canh Awards and 4 General-level Emulation Fighters.

With such synchronous efforts, continuously from 2020 to 2024, the Provincial Labor Federation has exceeded its emulation targets: In 2024, the Provincial Labor Federation completed and exceeded 32/32 targets of the province, 12/12 targets of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; and was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The above achievements have created a strong overall impact.

Emulation movement with new mission

Entering the 2025 - 2030 period, Nghe An sets a big goal of striving to become a well-off province in the country. This aspiration requires the team of workers, civil servants and laborers to promote a new spirit and new determination to face higher requirements on human resource quality and production efficiency.

“The emulation direction in this period focuses on the core movements: “Good worker, Creative worker”, “Innovation, creativity, efficiency” in trade union activities, “Green - Clean - Beautiful, Ensuring occupational safety and hygiene”, “Good at public work, good at housework” and “Studying to improve cultural and professional qualifications”. Emulation and reward work is thoroughly innovated, promoting the spirit of solidarity, creativity and pioneering of union members and workers. In particular, the application of digital technology in management, evaluation and summary of movements is a prerequisite task to ensure widespread, practical and suitable dissemination for each subject”, said Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation.

To realize the strategic goals for 2025 - 2030, the Provincial Federation of Labor has identified a system of tasks and solutions that are focused and comprehensive. In particular, it requires trade unions at all levels to proactively develop plans and launch emulation right from the beginning of the year, closely following the political tasks and socio-economic development plans of each unit. The organization, launching and registration of emulation covenants must be flexible in form and measures, suitable for each industry, type of enterprise, and grassroots union. At the same time, the work of inspecting and supervising the implementation of labor laws, the Trade Union Law and regimes and policies related to union members must be strengthened to ensure the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members.workers.

At the same time, Trade Unions at all levels must step up propaganda to raise awareness, turning emulation movements into self-awareness and regular responsibility of each individual. Propaganda content focuses on President Ho Chi Minh's patriotic emulation ideology and has specific solutions for key emulation movements.

Sharing about the innovations in the emulation movement in the coming time, Mr. Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation shared: "In order for the movement to achieve real effectiveness, the work of inspecting and supervising the emulation and reward evaluation must always ensure publicity, transparency and democracy, and must praise accurately and correctly. In particular, the Trade Unions at all levels must implement the key principle of prioritizing rewards for workers, civil servants, and laborers who do not hold management positions, and direct laborers. At the same time, the Trade Unions at all levels must truly save on administrative expenses and allocate funds to reward collectives and individuals with high achievements, creating adequate material and spiritual motivation. The replication of typical examples and models is carried out regularly through monitoring, inspection, timely detection of new factors, and introduction and learning of good practices and new models."
