The 10th Congress of the Nghe An Tax Department Office Trade Union for the 2017-2022 term

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 28, the Trade Union of Nghe An Tax Department Office held its 10th congress for the 2017-2020 term.

Attending the congress were representatives of the General Department of Taxation Trade Union, Nghe An Civil Servants' Trade Union and 16 industry trade union organizations in the province.

The Congress reviewed and evaluated the implementation results of the Resolution for the 2012-2017 term; analyzed the limitations, shortcomings, causes and drew lessons. At the same time, it set out goals, directions and tasks for the 2017-2022 term.

The Tax Department Office Union has 186 members; operating in 13 union groups, of which the number of female members is 90.

In the 2012-2017 term, the Tax Department Office's trade union has well implemented the Grassroots Democracy Regulations, reformed administrative procedures at the Tax Department; cared for and protected the legitimate rights and interests of union members. Coordinated with the professional sector to well launch patriotic emulation movements, encouraged union members to strive to successfully complete the political task of collecting budget in Nghe An province.

Besides, there are many initiatives in administrative reform, from 2012 to 2016 alone, the Tax Department office had 173 initiatives recognized at the grassroots level, including: 12 initiatives with excellent results, 52 with good results.

During the past term, Nghe An Tax Department achieved many outstanding achievements. Nghe An Tax Department was awarded the Emulation Flag of the Government in 2015. 6 civil servants were awarded the Second and Third Class Labor Medals by the President, in 2016, it is proposed to award 3 Labor Medals of various types; 13 collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Prime Minister.

In addition, during the term, dozens of collectives and hundreds of individuals were awarded certificates of merit and certificates of merit by the Ministry of Finance, the Provincial People's Committee and the General Department of Taxation, achieving the title of advanced workers and grassroots emulation fighters...

Regarding trade union work, 75 union members and 25 groups were commended by Nghe An Civil Servants' Trade Union, 3 union members and 2 groups were commended by the Provincial Labor Federation; 1 union member was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Vietnam Civil Servants' Trade Union; 1 union member and 1 group were awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Over the past 5 years, the Tax Department Office Trade Union has achieved the title of Excellent Strong Trade Union.

During the discussion, the delegates also frankly pointed out the existing problems and proposed directions for the new term: Continuing to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members. At the congress, the collective, 2 collectives and 1 individual were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good workers and building a strong trade union organization in 2016. The congress elected 11 comrades to the new Executive Committee for the 2017-2020 term and 5 delegates to attend the higher-level trade union congress./.
