The Nghe An Public Employees' Union held a meeting to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

Attending the event was Comrade Kha Van Tam - Member of the Provincial Party Committee.The Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor; former Chairmen, Vice-Chairmen, and Standing Committee members of the Civil Servants' Union from various periods, along with the staff of affiliated grassroots trade unions.

On July 12, 2000, in accordance with the policy of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Nghe An Provincial Confederation of Labor established the Nghe An Public Employees' Union with 11 Executive Committee members and 3 members of the provisional Inspection Committee, 39 grassroots unions, and more than 3,000 members who are officials, civil servants, and public employees of provincial-level administrative agencies and public service units.

Over 25 years of construction and development, spanning 5 congresses, we have now reached this point.Union of Public EmployeesThere are 49 grassroots trade unions with over 4,000 members. Since its establishment, the Public Employees' Trade Union and its grassroots trade unions have made significant contributions to the country's reform process and the building of a strong trade union organization.

Specifically, the Provincial Union of Public Employees has implemented many effective movements and models such as: the campaign to build "loyal, responsible, honest, and creative" officials and public employees; coordinating the implementation of grassroots democracy and organizing annual conferences for officials and public employees; the "Officials and public employees competing to implement workplace culture" movement associated with building culturally exemplary agencies and units; the "Workplace Culture" competition in 2011; the writing competition for proposing initiatives and solutions for administrative procedure reform in 2007 and 2014; and the digital transformation idea proposal competition in 2022…

The work of caring for the lives and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members has always been emphasized, policies and regulations for civil servants and public employees are ensured, and the spiritual life of union members is increasingly improved. The annual sports competition of the Public Employees' Union and the Party Committee of the Provincial Agencies Bloc has become a festival for union members…

In addition, the Civil Servants' Union is also a leading unit in social, humanitarian, and charitable activities. Recently, union members saved money to contribute to the construction of two houses in Ngoc Lam commune, Thanh Chuong district, with a total cost of 100 million VND.

For its practical and effective contributions, the Public Employees' Union has been awarded the emulation flag by the Provincial Federation of Labor, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

In the context of the political system being restructured and reorganized to suit the trends of the times, trade unions are also undergoing significant changes. Accordingly, the Trade Union of Public Employees of Nghe An Province will end its historical role and enter a new chapter with a new name.

At the conference, reviewing 25 years of formation and development, delegates acknowledged the significant role and contributions of the Nghe An Public Employees' Union. In his speech, Comrade Kha Van Tam - Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor - shared the concerns of the leaders of the Public Employees' Union throughout the years, and expressed confidence that, with the new restructuring, the executive committee and grassroots unions of the unit will continue to uphold the traditions of the Nghe An Public Employees' Union and strive to build an increasingly strong union organization.

Responding to the delegates' comments, Mr. Nguyen Cong Danh - Chairman of the Provincial Civil Servants' Union - expressed his sincere gratitude and affirmed that he would consider and study the suggestions to implement them appropriately to the situation and characteristics of the new union organization, contributing to affirming the role and position of the union.trade unionin the political system.

On this occasion, the Nghe An Provincial Federation of Labor awarded the Emulation Flag to the Nghe An Public Employees' Union, and presented Certificates of Merit to Mr. Nguyen Cong Danh - Chairman of the Nghe An Public Employees' Union and Ms. Dao Thi Thanh Mai - Vice Chairman of the Nghe An Public Employees' Union for their outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for excellent labor and building a strong trade union organization in 2024.
