(Baonghean.vn) - On November 16, 156 households in Phong village, Tam Hop commune (Tuong Duong) held a great solidarity festival together. This is the only Tay Poong community in Vietnam.

| Ban Phong is 5 km from the center of Tam Hop commune. This is the only Tay Poong community in the Western part of Nghe An as well as the whole country. The Tay Poong community is classified into the Tho ethnic group. According to ethnological studies, the Tay Poong people have the same origin as the Dan Lai people, mainly residing in Con Cuong district (Nghe An) and in Laos. |

| According to the latest data from the village management board, Phong village currently has 156 households with 656 people, of which the Tay Poong community accounts for 80%. This is also the most economically disadvantaged community in Tam Hop commune. However, recently there have been a number of highly effective livestock economic models. |
