Modern motorcycles often have several small but very useful components if we understand their function and how to use them.
Small lever next to the rear brake on a scooter.
This small lever is a very "clever" feature on Honda's scooters. Scooters don't have a gearbox like regular motorcycles, so when stopping on a slope, users often have to slam on the brakes or use their foot to hold the vehicle down. In these situations, it's difficult for users to keep the vehicle steady or release the brake to do other things. Recognizing this, Honda researchers integrated this lever into the rear brake lever of the scooter.
This lever is a safety feature of the vehicle that locks the rear brake. Using this lever is very simple: first, firmly squeeze and hold the rear brake lever, then flip the lever to lock it in place. The rear wheel will then be braked securely, preventing the vehicle from rolling when stopped on a slope. To continue moving, simply squeeze and release the brake lever.

This lever is called the air damper, and it's the part that adjusts the opening of the air intake to the carburetor. This part is rarely known to drivers, but it's highly effective in helping drivers operate their vehicles better.
The choke lever helps regulate the amount of air entering the carburetor, so when adjusted correctly, it will give the vehicle higher performance and better fuel economy. In addition, it has a very special effect when the car is difficult to start in the morning; pulling the choke lever out allows more fuel to enter the combustion chamber, helping the engine start more easily. Furthermore, a tip when you feel your car is running low on fuel: pulling the choke lever almost all the way out will allow you to travel a short distance further.
Nowadays, vehicles are increasingly being equipped with electronic fuel injection (FI) systems that automatically adjust the fuel-air ratio, so there is no longer a lever on the vehicle.
Motorcycle fuel valve
The fuel valve is a part that is rarely used. It is usually located under the fuel tank or right next to the carburetor and has a rotating lever-like design.

This is a small opening integrated into the chain guard of motorcycles. Usually, this inspection hole is covered by a round plastic cap. When the plastic cap is opened, we can observe the condition of the chain inside the chain guard to determine if it is too tight, too loose, or dry, so that adjustments and lubrication can be made.

This is a component that modern motorcycles integrate into the headlight switch area. On many scooters, the passing light is integrated into the headlight switch. The passing light is a type of flashing headlight switch used to signal to vehicles ahead or oncoming traffic that you are present or requesting to overtake. These signals are especially useful for vehicles traveling at night or on long journeys on highways.
