According to Dr. Vo Van Chi, lily has another name which is wild garlic. The scientific name is Lililum brownii FE Brown ex Mill, var. viridulum Baker (L. brownii var, colchoesteri Wilson ex Elwes), belonging to the lily family Liliaceae.
Lily grows naturally as a herbaceous plant 0.5-1 m high, perennial. The bulb is large, opaque white, sometimes pinkish, nearly spherical, with smooth and brittle scales. The leaves grow alternately, lanceolate, with entire edges, 2-15 cm long, 0.5-3.5 cm wide.
