As a worker with many years of experience at the factory, the subject clearly knew the routes and locations of surveillance cameras and committed the act of causing the fire, causing the factory owner to lose nearly 5 billion VND.

On February 8, the Investigation Police Agency of Vinh Tuong District, Vinh Phuc Province announced that it had issued a decision to prosecute a criminal case, prosecute the accused, and issue an arrest warrant to detain Nguyen Van Long (born in 1993), from Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province, for 4 months for property destruction.

Vinh Tuong district police took statement from suspect Nguyen Van Duy.

According to the investigation agency's documents, on December 27, 2022, at the PE mattress factory in Lung Hoa commune, Vinh Tuong district, owned by Nguyen Van Duy, residing in Tho Tang town, Vinh Tuong district, a fire suddenly broke out, causing property damage of nearly 5 billion VND. After the fire broke out, Mr. Duy watched the factory's security camera and discovered suspicious signs, so he reported it to the police.

Immediately after receiving the report, Vinh Tuong District Police quickly took action to investigate the cause of the fire and identified the person who caused the fire as Nguyen Van Long.

At the police station, Long confessed that due to his addiction to online games, he borrowed money from the factory owner to top up his game card but was refused. In anger, he thought of burning down the factory to vent his anger.

Because of many years of working as a worker at the PE mattress factory, Long knew the locations of security cameras in the factory. When committing the act of burning the factory, Long walked along the wall to avoid being monitored by security cameras.

After the first attempt, Long did not see any fire, so he continued to burn it a second time. When he saw the factory on fire, Long remained calm and joined everyone in putting out the fire. After that, fearing that his actions would be exposed, Long fled to Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province and was arrested by Vinh Tuong District Police.
