(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 15th, according to information from the authorities of Dien Lam commune, Dien Chau district and Ngoc Son commune, Quynh Luu district, several people in these two communes were injured when a farm vehicle overturned on a hill while they were harvesting acacia trees in the forest.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 7:00 AM on July 14th, when a farm vehicle carrying a group of people from Dien Lam and Ngoc Son communes arrived at a forest area bordering Dien Lam and Dien Doai communes in Dien Chau district (Nghe An province) to harvest acacia trees for hire. While climbing a slope, the vehicle slipped backward and fell down the hillside.

The sudden rollover injured at least five people, three of whom sustained minor injuries and were taken to Phu Dien General Hospital: Mr. Tran Duc Thanh (56 years old), residing in Hamlet 3, Ngoc Son Commune, suffered a closed head injury and a severed blood vessel in his right leg; Ms. To Thi Tinh (51 years old), residing in Hamlet 3, Ngoc Son Commune, suffered nine broken ribs; and Ms. To Thi Huong (36 years old), residing in Hamlet 3, Ngoc Son Commune, suffered minor abrasions.
Ms. Huyen and Mr. Tuan from Ngoc Son commune were the most seriously injured when a truck overturned and fell on them. Mr. Tuan suffered severe injuries to both legs, and Ms. Huyen lost an arm, with her hand completely severed. Locals packed their bodies in ice and immediately transported them to the 115 General Hospital in Nghe An.115 General Hospital performed the surgery.The surgery successfully reattached Mrs. Huyen's severed arm. However, due to significant blood loss, her health is very weak.
The cause of the incident is currently being investigated by the authorities.
