(Baonghean.vn) - Losing 1-2 to U23 Uzbekistan, coach Park Hang Seo and his team had to watch their opponents enter the final match.

Going into this match, Coach Park Hang Seo made 4 changes to the starting lineup compared to the match against U23 Myanmar 2 days ago. Van Hoang, Anh Tai, Lam Ti Phong, Thanh Binh were on the field from the start to replace Tien Dung, A Hoang, Quang Hai and Van Toan. With the personnel changes, it was not surprising that in the first minutes, U23 Vietnam let their opponent U23 Uzbekistan take control of the match.

During the first half, the ball was often rolling on the U23 Vietnam field. Occasionally, Coach Park Hang Seo's students were able to launch attacks but did not pose any danger to the U23 Uzbekistan goal. The pace of the match was therefore quite dull, with a series of bad passes from both teams. In such a situation, U23 Uzbekistan scored a goal to break the deadlock.

In the 30th minute, player number 6 Bobir had an accurate shot in an open position in front of goalkeeper Van Hoang's goal, after a cross from a teammate. Having to accept a rather unfortunate goal, U23 Vietnam immediately raised their formation to look for an equalizer. However, the attacks of Cong Phuong and his teammates were often easily neutralized by U23 Uzbekistan defenders. The two teams went out for a break with the temporary victory leaning towards U23 Uzbekistan.

Returning after the break, U23 Vietnam immediately invaded U23 Uzbekistan's field. In contrast, the opponent U23 Uzbekistan chose a tight defense - quick counterattack. Therefore, the first minutes of the second half were much more exciting than the first 45 minutes. U23 Vietnam's efforts were finally rewarded when substitute player Hong Duy was brought down in U23 Uzbekistan's penalty area. On the 11m mark, Cong Phuong made no mistake to bring home the equalizer 1 - 1.

The joy of U23 Vietnam did not last long. In the 65th minute, striker Zabikhillo, wearing the number 9 shirt of U23 Uzbekistan, raised the score to 2-1, after 2 consecutive shots. Undaunted, the red shirts continued to organize attacks, putting pressure on the U23 Uzbekistan defense. In the final minutes of the match, U23 Vietnam could no longer ensure the best physical condition and was helpless against the opponent's tight play. The match ended with a score of 2-1 in favor of U23 Uzbekistan.

This defeat caused Coach Park Hang Seo and his team to only win 2nd place in Group B and enter the 3rd place match 2 days later./.
