Security is a top priority at the APEC SDMOF Conference.
(Baonghean.vn) – The APEC SDMOR 11 Conference has the theme of Strengthening cooperation and innovation in advanced technology to effectively support inter-regional emergency response to natural disasters in the new normal. The Conference is expected to take place at Muong Thanh Song Lam Hotel - 13 Quang Trung Street, Vinh City.

The number of guests is 110 people, including: Representatives of agencies coordinating the management of natural disasters, science and technology in 21 economies; research organizations, investors, science and technology application development companies; NGOs, international agencies operating in natural disaster prevention and control at the regional level in the Asia-Pacific region and in APEC economies. In addition to the sessions, the conference also includes field activities on natural disaster prevention projects in Nghe An; exhibition of science and technology on natural disaster prevention and control...

At the meeting, the two sides exchanged and discussed issues related to the organization of the conference such as: organizing a volunteer group to welcome guests; support activities of the Equipment Group (Screen equipment, projectors, listening and translation...); Security group (at hotels, airports, on the way...).
On behalf of Nghe An province, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed: Nghe An considers this a valuable opportunity to promote Nghe An, its potentials and advantages in attracting investment. In July 2017, this content will be presented at the Provincial People's Committee meeting to assign specific responsibilities to relevant departments and branches for the best coordination and organization, and the provincial leaders will participate in the Conference.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development committed that after this working session, it will soon send a specific and complete plan to unify the contents with the province; send a working group to regularly connect with Nghe An during the preparation process. The expected field trip locations are Cua Lo, De Ta Lam route and the Central Region Hydrometeorological Station.
The two sides will discuss and conduct training for volunteers to better serve the delegation, and at the same time prepare well for promoting the image of Nghe An and the APEC conference on the main roads in the city. In particular, security will be a top priority.
