(Baonghean)The press not only serves to guide information but also acts as a means of propaganda and reflection. For those working in Party and government affairs, writing articles is the quickest way to connect with and understand the people.

Lang Manh Hung, an employee of the Que Phong District Party Committee, is a familiar face in the journalistic world, known for his outspoken and truthful writing. For journalists working in Que Phong district who are looking for interesting and unique topics, a conversation with Lang Manh Hung will surely provide something valuable to read and write about. Although he hasn't collaborated extensively with Nghe An Newspaper, his two articles over the past year—one about "Hoang Mai Cement" and another about the Council—show his dedication to his profession and his responsibility to his writing. For example, in the article about Hoang Mai Cement, even though it's a product his family's building materials store has sold for years, he still investigated and wrote a report about the poor quality of the product. Although his shop was somewhat affected by the article, he said, "I'm still happy because I've protected the rights of consumers, and especially thanks to the newspaper, many families have received compensation."

Lang Manh Hung is just one of many familiar names who have collaborated with Nghe An Newspaper throughout the past year. In addition, there are many contributors currently working at Party and local agencies. The articles by these authors provide accurate, reliable information and clear direction, reflecting the viewpoints of their respective localities and sectors. In fact, over many years of collaboration, names like Doan Tri Tue, Dang Anh Dung, Vi Hoi, Nguyen Anh Van, Lu Kim Duyen... have clearly demonstrated these strengths. While their articles may not be as sensationalist or sharp-witted as those of professional journalists, they are characterized by careful analysis and evaluation.

Readers also want to understand, through the eyes of those involved—those currently in positions of authority—how they view the existing problems in their locality and sector. In this regard, few writers are as insightful as contributor Dang Anh Dung from Thanh Chuong district. Despite holding an important position in his district, he often chooses sensitive topics, focusing on the negative aspects of society. Sharing his thoughts on this, he said: “I like to delve into issues that a large number of readers care about. Many people might secretly criticize me for writing those articles, but since I've written them, I have a responsibility and accept the fact that ‘the speaker loses, the listener gains.’ Vi Hợi, a contributor who holds a leadership position in Tương Dương district, has also frankly addressed the problems surrounding the relocation and resettlement at the Bản Vẽ Hydropower Plant and highlighted the investor's responsibility in implementing this project. He also demonstrated high journalistic sensitivity by promptly reporting and providing photos of the storms, floods, and landslides in Yên Na commune, and the drought in the reservoir area to the editorial office. These ‘hot’ news stories at that time resonated with many readers and had high journalistic value. Speaking about the role of the press, he said: “The higher the leadership, the more attention one must pay to the press. It is thanks to the press leading the way that we have the opportunity to look at it, correct mistakes, and make adjustments. I myself have benefited from it.” These articles helped people get to know me better, and in doing so, helped me to quickly convey the Party's guidelines and policies to the ethnic minority communities.

Speaking about his connection with Nghe An Newspaper, Nguyen Anh Van, a contributor to the Propaganda Department of Quynh Luu District Party Committee, who has collaborated with the newspaper for over ten years, still remembers his early contributions. His position requires him to speak and write to disseminate the Party's ideological work, which further fuels his passion for the newspaper. Last year alone, his article "Close Guidance to Achieve High Results in Winter Crop Production" was commended by the Editorial Board. The article highlighted experiences in winter crop production in Quynh Luu, but also served as a valuable lesson for many other localities and provided farmers with additional knowledge in production. Sharing his thoughts about this "side job," he said: "Journalism is also politics. And thanks to journalism, I have access to a lot of information. In my opinion, whether you're a contributor or a professional journalist, to be able to write an article, you must have a quick and sensitive reaction when updating information, as well as extensive knowledge and analytical thinking, observation skills, and the ability to grasp issues. For me personally, thanks to writing articles and being close to the people, I understand their lives better, and see their difficulties and hardships. Journalism is not only useful but also helps me grow more mature every day."
