(Baonghean.vn) -On the morning of July 13th in Vinh City, Company 473, a subsidiary of Construction Corporation No. 4 (Cienco4), celebrated its 40th anniversary (July 13th, 1973 - July 13th, 2013) and received the Second Class Independence Order.

Comrades Le Dinh Tho - Deputy Minister of Transport; Huynh Thanh Dien - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, representatives of Cienco4 leadership, several provincial and city-level departments, and a large number of former and current employees of the company attended the event.

Originally Construction Site 71A under the Construction Department I, tasked with ensuring transportation in Zone 4 and Central Laos, and transporting goods to serve the Southern battlefield, on July 13, 1973, the Ministry of Transport issued Decision No. 819, renaming it Company 773 with the mission of restoring and rebuilding the bridge and road system destroyed during the war. Since then, July 13 has become the company's traditional day. Despite six name changes and organizational restructuring, by February 17, 1991, under the General Construction Corporation of Transport Works 4, Company 773 has consistently excelled in constructing hundreds of high-quality bridges and ports of varying sizes across the country, from Lao Cai, Quang Ninh, Hanoi, Nghe An, along with the Central and Central Highlands regions, Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta, to An Giang.

Deputy Minister of Transport Le Dinh Tho presented the Second-Class Independence Order to Company 473 and the Third-Class Labor Order to Director Nguyen Xuan Hai.

In the years following the 1973 Paris Agreement, the mark of the 473 bridge builders was deeply imprinted at the ports of Nhat Le (Quang Binh) and Cua Hoi (Nghe An); restoring the railway bridges of Cho Thuong and La Khe (Ha Tinh), and especially the Yen Xuan bridge, the final link of the North-South Reunification railway line - a project of the Transport Sector to celebrate the 4th National Congress of the Party in 1976.

After completing the Ben Thuy and Cua Lo ports in Nghe An province and the Le Mon port in Thanh Hoa province in 1990, following five years of conquering the Lam River, the 473 Bridge Construction Team completed the construction of Ben Thuy Bridge 1, a practical commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of beloved President Ho Chi Minh. This laid the foundation for the 473 Bridge Construction Team to participate in the construction of Ben Thuy Bridge 2 more than 20 years later, and to continue building Gia Bridge, expanding National Highway 1A south of Ben Thuy Bridge - the bypass route around Ha Tinh city, and many other key national transportation projects.

Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province, Huynh Thanh Dien, presented a banner bearing the inscription "473 Joint Stock Company - 40 years of building unity, innovation and development".

Sharing in the joy with generations of cadres and workers of Company 473, Deputy Minister of Transport Le Dinh Tho and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Thanh Dien praised and congratulated the company on its development over the past 40 years, becoming a strong unit of the transport sector in general and of the General Corporation of Transport Construction 4 in particular. They expressed their hope that the cadres and workers of Company 473 would continue to uphold the tradition of not shying away from sacrifice and hardship, staying committed to road construction during the resistance war, and daring to think and act in the new era to produce many high-quality and effective products and complete many projects for the country and their homeland.
