22-12 Brick and Tile Joint Stock Company, formerly Construction Site 55, under Construction Team 22, Military Region IV, was born in the midst of war. The first workers of the construction site were soldiers from all over the country, sons who had fought and died in the two resistance wars against the French and the Americans, from the South to the North to come here to build the rear.
On the first day of establishment, with nearly 1,000 officers and soldiers, mainly wounded and sick soldiers... both working and fighting, the factory's products each year reached 3.5 million handmade bricks, mainly serving national defense projects.

In 1961, Construction Site 55 under Construction Team 22 of Military Region IV was transformed into a state-owned economic unit - renamed Brick and Tile Enterprise 22-12. In 1962, the enterprise moved from Cau Duoc to Hung Chinh commune (Hung Nguyen).
By 1968, the American invaders were attacking the North more and more fiercely. Following the call of the Party and Uncle Ho, many former cadres and soldiers, along with hundreds of young people of the enterprise, went to the South to fight. At this time, the enterprise had to move to Nghia Trung commune (Nghia Dan) and a part of it moved to Hung Thai and Hung My communes (Hung Nguyen). At the end of 1969, the enterprise restored its old location in Hung Chinh commune (Hung Nguyen).
While producing and fighting, the officers and soldiers of Construction Site 55 - Brick and Tile Factory 22-12 constantly promoted the nature of Uncle Ho's soldiers, the strong hands of soldiers used to holding guns, regardless of sun or rain to produce quality bricks and tiles; produced 2.5-3.5 million bricks and tiles in 1960 and increased to 7 million in 1964, to serve the construction of barracks and defense - security works of Military Region IV.
The memorable event for the Enterprise was the end of 1973 when it was honored to welcome Deputy Prime Minister Do Muoi to visit. The Deputy Prime Minister praised the enterprise for achieving 3 bests: Least capital, most products; Using equipment with the highest productivity; Best product quality...

During this period, the Enterprise had to face the challenges of the historic flood in 1978 and the storm of level 12 in 1982; at the same time, the difficulties of the early period of the country's renovation in 1986. However, with intelligence and capacity, the Enterprise's leaders and employees have brought the "boat" of the enterprise through the rapids of the market mechanism, technological innovation to develop and move forward.
Factory 22-12 is the first unit in the country to boldly apply the Bulgarian tunnel kiln firing technology - a superior firing technology since the early 1990s, saving 40 - 45% of labor, 30 - 40% of fuel and 20% of raw materials. In addition, it also reduces environmental pollution and lowers product costs. The successful application of the tunnel kiln has opened a widespread movement in over 60 provinces and cities nationwide. This proves the right pioneering step of the enterprise.

2003 marked an important milestone in the development history of the 22-12 Brick and Tile Enterprise when it was transformed from a state-owned enterprise to a joint stock company. This was an appropriate step to promote the enterprise's initiative. The Company invested tens of billions of VND to build 10,000 m2 of greenhouses for drying raw bricks, innovated investments, replaced raw brick production equipment and labor tools in the direction of modern semi-automatic and automatic production; repaired the tunnel kiln to meet the production requirements of 17 - 20 million bricks/year.
Up to now, 22-12 Brick and Tile Joint Stock Company has a modern brick and tile production line with a tunnel kiln with a capacity of 18 - 20 million bricks/year. Every year, officers and employees also have many initiatives to propose rationalization and improvement in production and management such as: making brick supports to handle continuous kilns with kiln hang-up problems; improving gravel kneading shafts, switching from drilling holes to square shafts to limit shaft breakage; improving the increase and decrease of new cutting tables for convenient operation for workers; manufacturing and putting into operation a line of coal mixing into bricks to bring high efficiency; mixing coal into bricks 100% to stabilize product quality, improve the environment for workers...
Thanks to promoting research, promoting initiatives, and technical improvements, the company's business and production activities are always guaranteed, with revenue each year higher than previous years; if revenue in 2010 reached 16 billion VND, in 2018 it increased to 26 billion VND; workers' income in 2018 doubled compared to 2011. The company regularly pays attention to social insurance, health insurance, material and spiritual life, social security movements, fire prevention and fighting, and occupational safety; tax obligations to the State are 100% completed as planned.
Promoting technical innovation initiatives has become a vibrant emulation movement in the company, from leaders, staff to workers; initiatives in every process, everywhere. Thanks to that, the company has gathered many useful initiatives and solutions to apply in production to help improve product quality; at the same time, liberating labor for workers, creating a safe and clean working environment... Along with the speed of social development and the need for environmentally friendly "green materials", the company's direction will be to research and change the technology of producing unburnt bricks and other types of construction materials by internal resources or joint ventures with partners to diversify and improve product quality.
