After six days of effort by thousands of electricity sector officials and workers, most of the substations and power lines damaged by Typhoon No. 10 in Nghe An have been repaired, restoring electricity to approximately 90% of customers.

On the morning of October 5th, representatives from Nghe An Power Company announced that, after six days of intensive work, the unit has now repaired all 16 substations and 41/41 110kV power lines in the province that were damaged by Typhoon No. 10.

For the medium-voltage power grid, this unit has also restored 7,291 out of 7,957 substations and 711 out of 712 power lines that experienced problems.

According to the leaders of Nghe An Power Company, restoring the remaining damaged areas is currently a difficult challenge for the power sector because some areas are flooded, and the terrain is rugged and difficult to access for power grid restoration work. However, Nghe An Power Company is still implementing the best possible solutions and working tirelessly to overcome the problems and restore the power grid to serve the people.

Earlier, Typhoon No. 10, which hit Nghe An province, caused severe damage to people's property and seriously damaged the power grid. Hundreds of power poles were broken, many kilometers of power lines were severed, and many substations were damaged.

Immediately after the storm subsided, the Northern Power Corporation dispatched a task force of 540 workers from various provinces to assist the Nghe An Power Company in restoring the power grid. This is a highly skilled, physically fit, and experienced force in responding to and handling power grid failures caused by natural disasters. The task forces are fully equipped with vehicles, tools, cranes, and other specialized equipment.

After witnessing the severe damage to the power grid in Nghe An province and the difficulties in restoration efforts, the Northern Power Corporation mobilized an additional 160 workers, bringing the total to 700, determined to support Nghe An in restoring the power grid as quickly as possible to serve the people. Currently, after the incidents have been largely resolved, most of the reinforcement force has been withdrawn to the northern provinces.
