“Practicing thrift and combating waste” is identified by Nghe An Power Company (PC Nghe An) as one of the key and top tasks of each officer and employee of the entire unit. The targets on thrift and combating waste set in the company’s production and business fields must be substantial, well-founded and linked to the responsibility of the leader in directing, operating and organizing implementation.
Over the years, Nghe An Power Company has always promptly and seriously implemented the Party's Resolutions, State policies and laws, Government Directives and instructions of Vietnam Electricity Group and Northern Power Corporation on "Practicing thrift and combating waste".

In the field of finance and accounting, PC Nghe An sets targets for each unit on "practicing thrift and fighting waste" in production and business, striving to complete 100% of the 2023 plan targets assigned by the Northern Power Corporation. The company has issued norms and assigned costs in production and business in accordance with the company's practices and the units have implemented a 10% cost savings in norms; such as regular costs, conference costs, seminars, talks, production management meetings... are carried out online, strictly controlling management costs such as stationery, internal expenses, considering the necessity, efficiency and maximum savings, ensuring practicality, avoiding waste. In addition, the company also directed units to strengthen inventory management and optimize inventory value to improve the efficiency of working capital use.
In construction investment, Nghe An Power Company has carried out construction and investment planning in a concentrated and synchronous manner, ensuring that 100% of investment projects are in accordance with the approved plan and schedule. Applying digital transformation to improve efficiency and reduce costs in production and business activities. This is considered a long-term strategic task that Vietnam Electricity Group, Northern Power Corporation and PC Nghe An are interested in, taking it as one of the major goals set out in management and operation, gradually turning the unit into a digital enterprise.
In fact, digital transformation has helped Nghe An PC save a lot of costs on labor, time and increase labor productivity. Product quality and customer service have also been improved, thereby contributing to enhancing reputation and brand in the market. Accordingly, a series of selected advanced scientific and technological equipment has been applied by Nghe An Electricity Company to digitally transform from the office to the power grid field. Practice saving and combat waste in electricity use
Nghe An Electricity Company has pioneered in implementing anti-waste and electricity saving both inside and outside the company. Accordingly, the Board of Directors of the company regularly promotes internal electricity saving. Not only does it issue directive documents, develop regulations on practicing electricity saving, anti-waste, and attach responsibility to each individual leader, officer, and employee at the unit, but it also spreads to family members. In Directive 20/CT-TTg, dated May 7, 2023, on strengthening electricity saving in the period of 2020-2025, the Prime Minister requires electricity saving in agencies and offices of at least 5% of electricity consumption. Nghe An Electricity Company has set an example by thoroughly applying 15% savings, and during peak hot months, saving 20% of electricity consumption.
