Ban Ve Hydropower Company cooperates with Provincial Police to give Tet gifts to poor households in Tuong Duong
(Baonghean.vn) - On January 31, Ban Ve Hydropower Company coordinated with the Economic Security Department of the Provincial Police to present 200 gifts to 200 disadvantaged households in Huu Khuong commune, Tuong Duong district.
Attending the gift-giving ceremony was Colonel Le Van Thai - Deputy Director of Nghe An Provincial Police.
This is an activity in response to the policies of the Party and State, as well as Nghe An province, and is also one of the annual community activities of Ban Ve Hydropower Company.
Previously, on January 19 and 23, Ban Ve Hydropower Company coordinated with the Economic Police Department of the Provincial Police to present 200 gifts to households in Ngoc Lam and Thanh Son communes, Thanh Chuong district; coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuong Duong district to present 200 gifts to 200 poor households in Yen Na and Luong Minh communes, Tuong Duong district.
Supporting “Tet for the poor”, supporting education, protecting the environment, and supporting healthcare are annual social security and community activities of Ban Ve Hydropower Company. In addition, the unit also regularly participates in hunger eradication and poverty reduction programs, repaying gratitude - donating gratitude houses to policy households and poor households. Ban Ve Hydropower Plant is the largest hydropower project in the North Central region, with a capacity of 320 MW. As a multi-purpose project, in addition to the task of supplying electricity to the national economy, the plant also has the responsibility of supplying water to the downstream during the dry season, cutting and reducing floods during the flood season according to the operating procedures of inter-reservoirs in the Ca River basin.
After more than 13 years of operation, Ban Ve Hydropower Plant has connected to the national grid more than 13 billion kWh, making an important contribution to the task of ensuring energy security for the country, contributing thousands of billions of VND to the State budget and contributing significantly to the economic - industrial - tourism development of the Western Nghe An region. In the past 5 years, Ban Ve Hydropower Company has spent over 30 billion VND to carry out social security work for the community in Nghe An province.
