Recently, the news that XH Garment Company Limited (Binh Duong province) went bankrupt, hundreds of workers did not receive their salaries or Tet bonuses, causing panic in the community. On the morning of January 15, on her official fanpage, singer Thuy Tien called for donations.
Immediately after that, the post received tens of thousands of likes, shares and comments. A series of support was sent to the singer and her husband. The amount gradually increased to hundreds of millions. All information and the amount of support were updated by the singer on the posts.
By the evening of January 17, Thuy Tien happily posted a status: “Oh my god, I'm crying now... I have enough money, everyone. I didn't think I would have enough in time, it's only been 2 and a half days, almost 3 days.
Yesterday, Tien was so worried that she couldn't sleep because she thought that if she didn't have enough to buy tickets for you guys and let everyone celebrate in vain, she would feel extremely guilty. Each text message transferring 50k, 100k, 200k was the majority, but each of us contributed a little bit and it turned into a real storm. Almost 1 billion! So you guys will have money for the bus home and some gifts, clothes and pants for the little ones."
At the same time, the singer also announced that she would stop accepting donations. The money received will then be used for more difficult situations.

“Each worker on the registration list received 2.5 million VND, but in reality, if I saw any worker struggling too much, I would give them an additional 500 - 1 million VND.
Some workers were not on the registration list, so Tien asked the head of the human resources department to check the company's salary arrears to avoid missing anyone who needed help. Some people were at the end of the list of unpaid salaries, but if they had a card, Tien decided to give them 500,000 VND for Tet, and if their house was further away in the North or Central region, she would give them 1 million - 1.5 million VND.
I think they are also in need and have to wait 4-5 hours to get some money, so I can't bear to leave them because they are not on the list, so I'll give them some joy at the end of the year, so I hope everyone will sympathize and share," Thuy Tien said.
The charitable actions of the singer and her husband received enthusiastic support from netizens. Nguyen Hanh was moved: “Oh my god, when I heard the news that workers did not receive their salaries or Tet bonuses, I wanted to cry… So much effort, saving every penny of other people to make a living, to bring home to celebrate Tet with their families, and yet… Luckily, the singer and his wife helped. I was so happy I wanted to cry.”
James Huynh also commented: “What a compassionate heart. God bless your family and the benefactors.” Many accounts also commented on their posts, announcing the amount of money they had transferred. After seeing the money being given to the workers, everyone breathed a sigh of relief, wishing the workers a peaceful Tet with their families.
