Cong Vinh and the Vietnamese players 'rolled around' right at the hotel
The difficult movements made Cong Vinh and his teammates tired but were very useful for warming up and competing.
Not only do they stay at a 4-star hotel, Coach Huu Thang's students are also taken care of with other issues such as training equipment, detailed medical examinations, and even knowledge on how to warm up properly.
On the afternoon of September 25, instead of going to the training ground, the Vietnamese players were instructed by a team of Japanese medical experts on proper warm-up exercises to avoid injuries and improve strength. The exercises were not too unfamiliar, but with the increased difficulty, the players were still quite confused.

The Japanese expert introduced the exercise “helps warm up very well before the match, reduces the risk of injury, and increases strength if done correctly. Currently, many countries with developed football apply it to players”. In reality, not all players can do it correctly the first time they perform the movements instructed by the expert.
Striker Cong Vinh said: “In Japan, exercises like this are very normal for their players. The exercises have about 20 movements and the coach will guide the students to do them before going on the field. In addition, there are more advanced exercises. At first, it will be very painful, but once you get used to it, your body will always be at its highest state of readiness. I think these sessions are very good for me and my teammates.”

During this training session, the players did not practice immediately but had to go through many different study and test sessions. After the warm-up exercises, on the morning of September 26, the whole team went for a general health check-up at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh City. The doctors advised the players not to eat breakfast so that they could take blood for testing and check many other indicators. Coach Huu Thang wanted to know all the basic information of the players before getting into professional work. In the afternoon of the same day, the teachers and students had their first practice session at Thong Nhat Stadium.
During the training session in Ho Chi Minh City, the team assistants had to divide up to “handle” 59 packages of the team. The luggage included training equipment, training supplements, competition and training uniforms, etc. During the three weeks of military training in Ho Chi Minh City, the whole team stayed at a 4-star hotel.
