Courtois won the Premier League Golden Glove award

Chelsea's goalkeeper won the award for keeping the most clean sheets this season.

Thibaut Courtois has kept 16 clean sheets in the Premier League this season, the most of any of the 20 starting goalkeepers in the competition. Tottenham's Hugo Lloris is second with 15 clean sheets.

Lloris could have equaled his Belgian colleague's record if Ben Chilwell had not scored in Tottenham's 6-1 win over Leicester on May 18.

With just one round left in the Premier League, no other goalkeeper has more clean sheets than Courtois. But Lloris could still be joint winners if Tottenham don't concede against Hull City, while Courtois concedes against Sunderland in round 38.

Lloris trails Courtois in clean sheets, but has a lead in other key areas. The Frenchman has conceded just 25 goals this season, the fewest in the league. Chelsea have conceded 32. Lloris has made 75 saves, nine more than Courtois.

The Golden Glove award used to only accept one winner but that changed starting in the 2013-14 season.
