"Crimea will not just get a bridge in a few weeks. Crimea itself is becoming a major bridge connecting cooperation between Russia and Syria, because it is the closest geographical territory, which can really be actively used to operate all communication flows," Muradov said at the conference.
According to him, the entire industrial flow here can have the characteristic of a stable continuous transport route.
"We start from the fact that this transport line will cover not only Crimea and serve the needs of the peninsula, but will also radiate throughout Russia. It is for this purpose that a powerful road bridge is being built, and next year a railway bridge will also be built," - said Mr. Muradov.
He noted that in the prospects it is possible to establish a passenger transport route, which has always operated between Latakia and the Black Sea ports and is one of the most popular tourist routes.
Mr. Muradov noted that Syrian products, especially subtropical products, are always in demand in Russia.
“With that in mind, we hope that Crimean ports will become more useful and exploited,” he added.
Earlier, representatives of Syria's Latakia province and the Republic of Crimea planted a line of olive trees in the Nikitsky Botanical Garden (Yalta) to honor Russian-Syrian friendship.
