The two traffic police officers could not hide their happiness when experiencing and contributing to a "half-crying, half-laughing" birth. Fortunately, both mother and child were safe when they arrived at the hospital.
Captain Hieu and Captain Quan immediately got in the car, turned on the siren, and drove to clear the way for the ambulance carrying the pregnant woman to the hospital for emergency treatment.
"Faced with that scene, my mind only thought of the fastest way to help the woman and baby get to the hospital so that doctors and more specialized medical staff could handle the emergency. When a woman gives birth incorrectly, it can be life-threatening," Captain Hieu recalled.
A shift with a surprising situation, the car arrived at the hospital in time, the two officers returned to their original positions, filled with joy and excitement and constantly praying for the safety of the mother and child. Afterwards, driver Thanh returned to the unit to thank the two officers, informing them that the mother and child were being well taken care of by the doctors.
"Hearing that made me feel relieved. And I also replied to Mr. Thanh that it was a duty in emergency situations, anyone in that situation would be the same," said Captain Hieu.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online, Mr. Thanh said he was the driver who took his sister to give birth in the video above. Accordingly, at around 7am on March 26, he received information that his sister had gone into labor after a period of pregnancy.
"At that time, the road was so crowded that I panicked and didn't know what to do. My sister gave birth in the car and all I could think about was the traffic police to guide us. My sister was screaming and the baby was crying continuously. I was so scared," Thanh recalled.
Mr. Thanh added that when his car had just passed the Nguyen Tri Phuong overpass (District 5), he saw two traffic police officers standing right at the corner of the intersection. At that time, he did not think much, just ran to ask the traffic police to show him the way quickly.
"The two men asked what was going on. I explained that someone was giving birth in the car and needed to go to the hospital urgently. The two traffic policemen immediately told me to get in the car quickly and they would take me there. I was so happy that I jumped in the car and followed them," Mr. Thanh recalled.
Then, his car also arrived at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, Campus 1 on Hong Bang Street. Doctors and nurses quickly took mother and child to the hospital.
"I'm so glad that the traffic police cleared the way so that she could get to the hospital in time, otherwise the lives of the mother and baby would have been in danger. When I arrived, I ran up to shake their hands to thank them, but they told me to take care of her," Thanh added.
According to Mr. Thanh, he later received news that his wife and baby's health were normal and unaffected, and he went to inform the two traffic police officers.
On the afternoon of March 26, the leader of the Traffic Police - Order Team of District 5 Police (HCMC) confirmed that there was an incident in which two traffic police officers from the special motorcycle team turned on their sirens and guided a 7-seat car carrying a pregnant woman from Dong Nai to HCMC to give birth.
